Lets take some time to reflect on the past few months while we slowly prepare for match and reminisce on some of the good times that passed us by!
These past 8 months have flown by and included some pretty big milestones! Take a look at what’s been going on and look through all of the pictures from the past couple of months!
This past weekend I was informed that I had been selected for induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine for the class of 2023.

I wanted to take the time and cherish the current moment. Not but a few days ago I proposed to the absolute love of my life, and she said YES! I could not be any happier than I am now! What a surreal rush of emotions. We are beyond elated about what the future holds for us as we continue our adventure together!
Summer came and went, orientation geared us up for our 3rd year and before you know it was time to start back up and be sent into the wild. Let me catch y’all up on life as a 3rd year medical student and all that has been happening since our last installment.
Looking back this summer came and went. It feels like there is never enough time to do all that I want, but I was able to fit a lot into this summer and I am tremendously grateful for that. I cannot wait for what the next chapter of my journey will bring as I step foot into my clinical rotations.
Wow, the time certainly has flown by! Another semester behind me and I can officially say I am halfway to becoming a DO. I am halfway to becoming a doctor! I am beyond grateful for the support I have from everyone as without it I would not have been able to make it through the 31 written exams, 13 practical’s, 9 OSCE’s, 800+ lectures all the while during a global pandemic! Strabismus is a condition preventing foveal alignment in normal gaze. Its effects can have long-standing impacts on physical, psychological, and social health. We report a 67-year-old female who presented with complications from long-term treatment of infantile strabismus. This case highlights differences in historical and contemporary strabismus treatments.
