I wanted to take the time and cherish the current moment. Not but a few days ago I proposed to the absolute love of my life, and she said YES! I could not be any happier than I am now! What a surreal rush of emotions. We are beyond elated about what the future holds for us as we continue our adventure together!
It doesn’t seem like two and a half years, but way back at the beginning of medical school Tiffany and I first became acquainted. It was love from then on. Every day facing the trials and tribulations of medical school. Many long hours of studying, stressful nights, and difficult days, but together we persevered. Every obstacle making us that much stronger as a couple. While we certainly had our challenges there are countless happy memories, inside jokes, friends, and experiences that make everything worth it. And while this is about us, we wouldn’t be here if not for our family, friends, teachers, mentors, preceptors, and companions along the way. To each and everyone of you, thank you! We love you all!
How Did It Happen?
I envisioned the love of my life, a beautiful atmosphere, the sunset, and a moment that would last forever. With that vision in mind, I began researching vendors that would help make my vision a reality and came across Felicia By Design @feliciabydesign . Working with Felicia together we were able to plan out a perfect elegant beach picnic.
I planned our engagement to coincide with our Spring Break during our weekend excursion to Panama City Beach, Florida. While we had discussed the prospect of marriage and how Tiffany and I wished to take the next step. The specifics were something that I kept a secret.
Starting just a few hours out since both Tiffany and I knew when I was planning on proposing, we both began to get anxious as the time got closer. Furthermore, while dealing with nerves I had continued responsibility to coordinate with Felicia. Something that was unplanned for us in particular was an unexpectedly windy evening that took us by surprise. There was no turning back, I was dead set on charging forward at all costs. Against the prospect of a windier evening than planned, our proposal coordinator was able to adapt the arrangement, and all was a go.
Tiffany and I both left for our “date night” just prior to sunset with palpable anxiety and very quickly arrived at the beach. As we walked toward the sand there was a gorgeous picnic set-up for us with a planned vegan charcuterie box from Local Fancy @localfancy_pcb . Having spent some time chatting with Felicia in advance it sounded like opting to sit down and keep Tiffany on her toes as to when I would propose was something that would absolutely heighten the experience. Once the photographer was in place I got into position and proposed. Tiffany gave no hesitation and responded with a resounding “YES!” The rest of the evening was spent getting some wonderful photos (candid and processional), enjoying our vegan charcuterie and sharing the wonderful news with friends and family.
Again, thank you all for you continue love and support! Please enjoy some of the pictures from our engagement and stay tuned!
